Hi,
My name is James Michael. I am currently in charge of the section “The Judges,” for thestorydepartment.com.
As far as my career is concerned I am currently doing a Bachelor Of Media at Macquarie University, majoring in Screen Production and writing.
I don’t really know what I want to do in the future, but I have aspirations of travelling through America once my degree finish and maybe trying to pick up some work there in the industry.
I wrote a feature film script. Sent it to U.S. contests. Got nowhere. Studied with Karel Segers, re-wrote the script and re-submitted. It came top 10 of its category of 6000 scripts at the Austin Screenplay Comp. I then sold that script to a Los Angeles production company.
On the back of it, Sam Worthington's Full Clip Productions commissioned me to write a feature.
